This space exists for women navigating the aftermath of relationships, loss, and identity shifts, and who are ready to stop contorting themselves to fit expectations that no longer align.
Blooming After Bullshit is not about reinvention for the sake of reinvention — it’s about
Hi — I’m Kara, the founder of Blooming After Bullshit. I’m a wedding professional, creative, and mother who spent years immersed in love stories while privately healing from the unraveling of my own. Being surrounded by celebrations of commitment and forever, while navigating betrayal and loss, forced me to confront the gap between what we’re taught to endure and what we actually deserve.
As I began living more intentionally — honoring my values, my boundaries, and my son — I started sharing that journey openly. What followed were conversations with women who saw themselves reflected in it. Not because I had answers, but because I was willing to be honest.
Blooming After Bullshit grew from those conversations. From the realization that women don’t just need encouragement — they need language, tools, and space to navigate life after love with clarity and self-trust. BAB is grounded in the belief that healing doesn’t require gratitude for what hurt you, and growth doesn’t have to come from self-sacrifice.
Through guided reflections, writing, and resources, this space supports women as they unlearn conditioning, clarify alignment, and rebuild lives that actually feel like their own. Nothing here asks you to be smaller, quieter, or more patient than you already have been. It simply invites you to come back to yourself — gently, honestly, and without rushing.

At Blooming After Bullshit, our work is rooted in supporting women navigating the space between what ended and what comes next. Whether you’re healing from a relationship that changed you, questioning long-held patterns, or learning how to live and date in alignment with your values, this space exists for you.
The women who find BAB are thoughtful, self-aware, and ready to choose themselves — often for the first time. They value honesty over performance, alignment over approval, and depth over quick fixes. BAB offers language, reflection, and resources to help make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and to support you as you rebuild a life that feels grounded, intentional, and your own.

-Fellow wedding professional & mom
“As a mom and someone who works in weddings, I saw so much of myself in Kara. Watching her choose alignment, stability, and joy for herself and her son — even when it wasn’t easy — gave me permission to question my own choices. Her transparency reminded me that we’re allowed to build lives that actually work for us. BAB isn’t just inspiring — it’s grounding.
-mother & longtime friend
“I’ve known Kara since high school, and watching her step into her truth gave me the courage to face my own. As a mom to a child with special needs, I felt isolated for years in a marriage that slowly erased me. When I reached out to Kara, she didn’t tell me what to do — she helped me listen to myself again. Her clarity, honesty, and steady presence helped me recognize when it was time to leave, and eventually gave me the confidence to do so. Blooming After Bullshit reflects the same grounded guidance and compassion she showed me when I needed it most.“
-the community
“Blooming After Bullshit feels like a deep exhale. It puts language to things so many women carry quietly — the grief, the anger, the self-doubt, and the desire to begin again. Kara’s voice is steady, honest, and empowering without ever feeling performative. This space doesn’t tell you who to be — it reminds you that you already know.”
